All text content on this site is released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International licence, unless a species sheet overrides the default. You are free to share and adapt the material for non-commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit to the author(s) of each sheet.

Photographs and media

Each photograph, audio recording, and video carries its own attribution and licence, shown next to the media on the species sheet. Most are CC BY-NC 4.0; some photographers may opt for CC BY 4.0 or retain full rights. Always check the caption.

Scientific data

Taxonomic records, scientific names, authorship, and the species checklist — the factual/data layer of the site — are considered non-copyrightable facts and may be reused freely. When this site eventually publishes a Darwin Core checklist to GBIF and SiB Colombia, it will be released under CC0.
